On Thursday, December 7th, Plantation High School is playing the film “Listen” at 5:30pm in the Auditorium. Subsequently, the film's Director Erahm Christopher will have an interactive discussion with the audience. Even though this event will be held in Plantation High School, the School Board made the decision to play the film throughout Broward County.
The film "Listen tells the story of what happens when we don't pay attention. It's all about us and how we impact each other," (listenthemovie.com). Listening can change a life or start a conversation. The P.H.S. Administrator, Mrs. Isha Reyes said, "by just one person listening...it can change someone's life." This film has a powerful message that gives the student body the opportunity to learn an important lesson that listening can be an influential force. Mrs. Reyes' advice for P.H.S. students when watching the film is to "take it in and reflect on the message being delivered…think about how other people are being treated" and "treat others how you want to be treated." |
