Multiple Hurricanes have already pounded the Southeast United states, far more than anticipated.

Hurricane season is a yearly event. Storms forming in the Atlantic and finding its way on land destroying platforms. This season the united states was hit with not one but two major storms that damaged and destroyed homes, cities and everyday living sites. The first storm on dates August 17-September 3 to approach was Hurricane Harvey, a category 3 hurricane that affected the southern states in the U.S, Texas being the most effected.
Hurricanes seemed to batter the Southeast United States left and right this Hurricane season.

The storm destroyed approximately 20,000 homes, and according to the Weather Channel maximum flood levels were up to 50 inches of water or higher, rainfall up to 4 inches per hour. August 30 rain gauge near Cedar Bayou Texas measured 51.88 inches of water. “some climatologist is calling Harvey the worst rainfall event in the country’s history” Said Business Insider, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) also shared “This is one of the largest, most complex, most dangerous disasters we've dealt with." Harvey’s winds and rainfall broke the record set since 1978.
August 30 – September 15 additional hurricane hit the U.S. Category 5 and 4 hurricane named Irma moved toward Florida, but first passing through the Caribbean beginning its destruction. This hurricane was described powerful. Officials in Florida ordered a mandatory evacuation for all residents in given areas. Schools throughout the state were closed planning to reopen the following week, millions of homes gone without power many for as long as the storm lasted, many of roads flooded. Irma moved through three states within ten days. Following Irma was two tropical storms Jose and Katia which passed through the U.S and Caribbean and eventually became a hurricane. Currently writing this there is a hurricane predicted to come Florida’s way named Maria. It ran through Puerto Rico, and so far officials are saying this is a category 3 storm moving its way up to a 4. 150 miles per hour winds.
