The nearly unstoppable Plantation High School Varsity football team is preparing for a game on November 10th at Atlantic High School, but are the Colonels ready to face them? The team has at the moment 9 wins and 1 loss this season, plus they are considered the second best high school team in the district. Despite these achievements, their rival team in the upcoming game, the Atlantic’s Eagles, also has an amazing season with 9 wins and 1 loss. Making them an almost equally skilled team who would also want to only have one loss this season. the Varsity Football coach, Coach Davis says that they are ready for the game, and prepared to win it.

Coach Davis has been Plantation High School’s Football coach for several years now, yet he is still impressed by the team every year. He was asked what caused the team of 2017 to be so successful, especially compared to last season which had 2-8 wins to loss games. Coach Davis replied by saying “I just think that the team this year wanted to surely focus on training and the game itself, and because of this we have so far been successful this season.” the Florida School Board has considered them the tenth best high school football team in the state.
Coach Davis was also asked how he and the team feel about the upcoming game on Friday. “We are very confident on us winning the game, but we are still preparing for it. We’ll been heavily focusing training on all aspect of the game from the last week to all the way to Friday night, making sure we are putting out 110% percent into the game.” The Colonels Football team is showing no sign of slowing their preparation for their playoff game against Atlantic’s Eagles, who have also been seen training heavily from the past week or two. Making the big game on Friday night (which happens to be on Veterans Day) to be a battle between an immovable object and an unstoppable force. But every student and faculty member at Plantation High School are all waiting to hear a Colonel’s victory in the playoff this Friday. |
