Douglas gets a Hero
Student shot in school massacre returns back to school.
A few months after the Stoneman Douglas incident, a student hailed hero, Anthony Borges, took 5 bullets while trying to block the door as his fellow students hid inside the classroom. Anthony was released from the Hospital and took a trip to the Stoneman campus Thursday April 5th. He arrived to school in a wheelchair as his lower half is still in the process of recovering.
As his return was announced many students went to twitter to let everyone know just how excited they were for Anthony’s return. “We are so thankful and happy to know Anthony is safe and back at it at the eagle's nest.” Tweeted Emma Gonzales, one of the well known activist speakers for Douglas. Many other people took to twitter to help show support for Anthony, and offer kind words to him for the heroic act he did.
