Big changes to big retailers
Dick’s sporting Goods and Walmart are making changes in their firearms policy

Walmart and Dick’s Sporting Goods are making changes in their polices around selling guns after
the recent protest against the selling of military style automatic weapons, which were used in the mass shooting at Dongles High School on February 14th. Dick’s Sporting Goods is one of the largest sport retailers and gun seller in the U.S, have recent announced that they will no longer sell military-style semi-automatic rifles and will be raising the minimize age allowed to buy firearms from 18 to 21. In addition, they will no longer sell high- capacity magazines. The company have stated that they have plain to make these changes later in the year, but with the tragedy at Douglass they chose to do their make the changes sooner. |
Both Walmart and Dick’s sporting goods have chose to raise the age limit to buy firearms from 18 to 21.
Walmart, one of the largest retailer stores in the U.S, have also raising the age to 21 to purchasing
firearms and ammunition. Thru they have already have ban selling military-style semiautomatic rifles in 2015, but they have announce that the retailer will no longer sell items resembling assault-style rifles, which included toys and air guns. |
